DESCRIPTION:

Captozyme is a research stage start-up company founded in 2009. Our research activities mainly involve enzyme-based products to efficiently prevent kidney stone formation. The Captozyme team also provides services in areas such as assay development, fermentation development and CMC.

The Captozyme team consists of talented, creative, self-starters and we are now looking for someone alike to join our team. Primary Responsibilities

This position requires the Laboratory Technician to perform work with minimal supervision, after receiving proper training and instructions for the tasks assigned. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: media, buffer and reagent preparation, thorough and focused execution of basic laboratory experiments and assays, laboratory instrumentation maintenance and calibration according to procedures.  The Technician should also participate actively in laboratory organization i.e. supply receiving, reagent inventory, cleaning and sterilizing of glassware and equipment etc.

REQUIREMENTS:

• A high school diploma with relevant working experience OR an associate’s degree, with a strong interest in the life sciences.
• Ability to plan assigned tasks in a way that ensures efficient, thorough and organized execution, in a timely manner, is required.
• Ability to follow written procedure and collect and document data while keeping a high attention to detail is necessary.
• Capable to interact and work with other team members to ensure high team productivity.
• Good verbal and written communications skills are needed; good computer skills are highly desired.
• Strong sense of responsibility, strong work ethic and a positive attitude is an absolute must.
